Proud to be an atheist!

Ah. I miss this. I wish that the American Atheist Convention was today. This photo (which to my surprise included a quickly walking Richard Dawkins, of whom I later met and had sign many many books) was taken in Minneapolis Minnesota at the 34th annual American Atheist Convention in early 2008.

That's right friends. I am a proud atheist. Here now are some marvelous quotes about atheism:

"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes."-Gene Roddenberry

"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me." -Emo Philips

"There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages."- Richard Lederer

"Two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer."- Unknown

"You keep believing, I'll keep evolving."- Unknown

"An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanished."- Justin Brown
